The historical park of Ayuthaya-done

Thailand is not only famous for hotel but also religiousness. If you are interested in old ruins and ancient Buddhist temples, Ayutthaya will attract you also. Ayutthaya was constructed on an island having four rivers around. Old ruins are seen everywhere, especially on the island’s western. Hundreds of old temples indeed are be scattered in villages in the city.  


400 years ago, the plain region central of Thailand was dominated by Ayutthaya and it was founded in 1350 BC King Ramathibodi. This was a powerful country especially in commerce aspect, it trades with such countries as China, Dutch and France. It was monasteries, canals and monuments that make the magnificent of this city.

Nearby the Kingdom of Burna was competitor of Ayutthaya leading to frequently wars. In 1569, the first war was happened and Thai city was arrested by King Bayinnaung of Burma and after one decade, it was freedom. In that battles, Prince Naresuan was the leader and after defeating the Crown Prince of Burma the battle, he became one of the greatest heroes in Thailand. However, unfortunately that city was once again in war in 18th century, a range of battles between Burma and Vietnam happened. In the end, there was thirty three monarchs of various dynasties became the king who created a lot of architectural for Thailand.

Ayutthaya Historical Park is recognized as the Heritage Site in the world by UNESCO. This park includes a great deal of ruins of temples, religious shrines, pavilions and palaces spreading inside the park. About the location, it locates in the North of Bangkok and the distance is 80 kilometers. We can travel by boat, car and train. In December annually, people organize some festivals to celebrate the glory. Traditional culture and different entertainments are reminded and displayed. We can see the light and memorable sound in the ancient ruins and temples of Ayutthaya.


If I have a chance, I will visit Ayutthaya to see all ancient beauty of this area.
